4:43Now PlayingMorbi police have arrested 9 people in Morbi bridge collapse. Four have been sent to police custody and 5 have been sent to judicial custody. However no big official from the firm is yet arrested. Morbi bridge collapsed on Sunday and later police arrested nine people of which two are from Oreva group who were responsible for management and maintenance of the hanging bridge over river Machchhu river in Morbi. They are arrested under the charges of culpable homicide. Public prosecutor said that the contractors hired by the Ajanta Oreva for the maintenance job were not even qualified engineers. The bridge was supposed to be made by 8 to 12 months and was prematurely opened within 5 months.
