2:15Now PlayingIn a significant development being reported from down south, the Central Bureau of Investigation is all set to take over the probe of the idol theft case in Tamil Nadu. The CID will be handing over the case to the central investigation agency. The cases have been registered under the sections of the IPC and Treasury act. It has also been alleged that a retired cop is also involved in the case. The probe by CBI begins after the Madras High court observed that the CID and State police is not investigating the case adequately after which it asked the central agency to take over.
