The Karnataka Congress further added that does not have its origins in India and it came from Persia. Jarkiholi stated that the word and the religion were "forcefully imposed" on the people. "Where has 'Hindu' term come from? It's come from Persia...So, what is its relation with India? How's 'Hindu' yours?" the Congress leader said.
