Ex-Chairman of HAL and the member Aeronautical Society Of India, RK Tyagi, has access to highly sensitive passes. After holding the position of chairman in HAL, RK Tyagi was granted a liable pass with access to the boarding gate and security check-in at any airport and any terminal to the airports across India. BCAS, the agency which is responsible for issuing these highly sensitive passes, did not check on the status of the pass given to RK Tyagi after retiring from his position. On being asked about access to the pass granted, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security responded that he got the pass with recommendations of the ministry of civil aviation when he was the chairman of HAL. Civil Aviation Expert Atul Singh said, 'Things are not in order in the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security. Passes are definitely issued on the basis of influences & management.'
