7:11Now PlayingAccording to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, if the wrong government takes control of the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh, progress there will stall. On the final day of campaigning for the November 12 Assembly elections, Shah spoke at a rally in the state in support of party candidate Rakesh Pathania. He listed numerous initiatives undertaken by the "double-engine" BJP governments at the federal and state levels and declared that "this is the time for a renewal of the government." Himachal falls apart if one engine fails. On Thursday, the BJP unveiled its initial list of 160 candidates for the impending Gujarat Assembly elections. Harsh Sanghavi will run from the Majura constituency, while Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will run from the Ghatlodia seat. Hardik Patel, who will represent Viramgam, is one of the notable individuals who appeared on the list today. The BJP also declared that Rivaba Jadeja, the wife of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, would run for office in the forthcoming elections from the Jamnagar North constituency.
