The meteorological department has made a forecast for heavy rain in the town with thunder and lightning. India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the four districts of Tiruvallur, Ranipet, and Kancheepuram in Tamil Nadu. Schools and colleges were shut, and now the forcing authorities have declared a holiday in several districts. Tamil Nadu has received 205.47mm of rainfall in the last 48 hours. Constant monitoring of the several affected areas is done through CCTVs. CCTV cameras have been installed in several places.
