2:59Now PlayingHemant Soren, the chief minister of Jharkhand, requested that the Enforcement Directorate reschedule the summons issued to him for interrogation on November 17 here in a money laundering case related to alleged illegal mining in the state, but the motion was denied. The federal investigation agency first called Soren, 47, on November 3, but he chose not to appear in court because of work commitments. He then requested a postponement of the summons for three weeks. The CM has been requested to show up at the ED's regional office in Ranchi. In this case, the agency has detained local muscleman Bachhu Yadav, Soren's political ally Pankaj Mishra, and Prem Prakash. In connection with a case involving alleged instances of illegal mining and extortion, the ED raided Mishra and his alleged associates on July 8 at 19 locations in Sahibganj, Barhait, Rajmahal, Mirza Chauki, and Barharwa in Jharkhand.
