The Centre has argued that four of the six convicts are Sri Lankan nationals. Adding that the decision on foreigners lies in the government's domain and the Centre did not get adequate opportunity to argue in Court. It was on November 11, the Supreme Court had ordered the release of all six convicts in Rajiv Gandhi's assassination case.
