15:23Now PlayingAaditya Thackeray, a cabinet minister and leader of the Shiv Sena, oversaw the MVA government's tourist department, while Aditi Tatkare, a minister of state for the NCP led by Sharad Pawar, oversaw the department for culture. According to a cabinet resolution released by MVA government in July this year, the tourism and culture department decided not to invest the Rs 381 crore it had budgeted for building the essential infrastructure at tourist and cultural hotspots. Additionally, a stop has been placed on Rs 215 crore intended for the MTDC. The District Planning and Development Council monies for the current fiscal year were used for the projects that the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis administration has thus far stayed. The department of tourism and culture has also postponed all of the projects for which administrative clearances have been given thus far.
