The BJP is in the lead in more than 150 seats in the state, followed by the Congress and the AAP, which is still only getting single-digit votes. "Records have been broken. Modi ji has previously stated that several records are going to be broken this time. We got more than 150 seats today and our government has been endorsing development for a long time. The people of Gujarat have proved their faith in Modi Ji and his government once again," said Vijay Rupani. Results of the Gujarat Assembly elections are currently being counted in 33 districts around the BJP-ruled state. The polls were held on December 1 and 5, in two phases. 37 centres covering the arrival of the AAP into the polling arena of the western state, early reports from counting centres indicated that 182 Assembly seats began the vote-counting process at 8 a.m. In the three-way race that was sparked by the BJP was ahead in 15 seats while the Congress was set for a distant second place. The AAP was ahead in one seat, while the Congress was seen to be ahead in five.
