According to a complaint made by BJP leader Manikant Rathod, land of 36,000 square feet that was given to the Ambedkar Smaraka Samithi for the construction of a wedding hall is being used improperly. According to the complaint, "In 1981, the Kalaburagi District Administration donated the site for public usage. The marriage hall, however, has not been made available to the general public in recent years. The People's Education Society office has instead arrived there." The Ambedkar Smaraka Samithi's first president was Mallikarjun Kharge. He does not currently hold any positions.
