This comes days after the Karnataka Legislative Assembly unanimously passed a resolution moved by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on the raging border row, resolving to protect the southern state's interests. The resolution passed by the Maharashtra Assembly says that "every inch" of Belgaum, Nipani, Karwar, Bhalki, and Bidar cities will be a part of Maharashtra. “All the necessary legal pursuits will be done in the Supreme Court to include Belgaum, Karwar, Nipani, Bhalki, Bidar cities and 865 Marathi-speaking villages of Karnataka in Maharashtra under any circumstances," the resolution reads.
