Churu and Pilani in Rajasthan are freezing at 0°C. Fog affects rail and road traffic. The foggy conditions are likely to prevail. According to the Met department, the sudden cold wave is because of the weather disturbance in the Himalayas which bring in cold and dry northerly and northwesterly winds. 'Today, cold day to severe cold day conditions prevailed over many parts of Haryana & Delhi and at isolated places over West Uttar Pradesh. Cold day conditions prevailed over some parts of Punjab and northwest Rajasthan,' IMD informs.
