BJP, on the other hand, is now demanding action against the party workers. A controversy broke out during a public programme organised by Tamil Nadu's ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in the state capital on Saturday when party workers stopped cops from detaining two men who allegedly misbehaved with a female constable. The incident happened in Chennai's Virugambakkam with DMK heavyweights including MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, health minister Ma Subramanian and MLA AMV Prabhakara Raja on stage for the public meet.
