However when a meeting happened between Lingayat leaders and various leaders from BJP and Congress, Panchamshali's leader rejected the quota assurance given by the state government and has given a new deadline to Cm for benefits. In the last week of December thousands of Panchamasali Lingayats protest was held in Belagavi as a show of force on Tuesday demanding a higher percentage of the Other Backward Castes' (OBCs) reservation quota in education and jobs in Karnataka.
