While the anticipated nominal GDP growth for FY23 is 15.4% compared to 19.5% in the prior financial year. GVA projections have been reduced as output in the manufacturing sector has slowed. In contrast to a growth of 9.9 percent in FY22, it is predicted that industrial output will slow to 1.6 percent. Industrial output is expected to expand by only 1.6 percent, as opposed to 9.9 percent in FY22. Tamanna Inamdar of ET Now speaks with KV Subramanian of the IMF about the state of the economy.
