5:25Now PlayingAs per the reports in Times Now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the world’s longest river cruise, the MV Ganga Vilas, which will sail from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to Dibrugarh in Assam, covering a journey of about 4,000 km. "The beginning of the world's longest river cruise service on the Ganges is a landmark moment. It will herald a new age of tourism in India," PM Modi said.
PM Modi also dedicated five new jetties for tourists to enjoy Varanasi's and the surrounding areas' local culture. "Today, foundation stones have been laid for several other inland waterways projects worth more than Rs 1,000 crore.
