28:36Now PlayingIn this episode of The Urban Debate, the host Shreya Dhoundial will be discussing how a city has two faces, Kota in Rajasthan. Many of us know Kota as the ‘educational hub’ of India. The city that has an assembly line of engineers and doctors. But Kota has another more dangerous face as well. This city is also the student suicide capital of our country. On Sunday evening, one such suicide was reported. A 17 year old was found hanging in his room in Kota. He was preparing for the IIT JEE exam but had not attended classes in the last month. He belonged to Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur. In fact he had cleared his Mains as well. Cops say the will begin probing why the student had stopped attending coaching classes? A few panelists join us. "The institutes in Kota don't consider if the student at all wants to pursue IIT. The students gradually start to feel the pressure," says Anand Kumar, Founder Super 30.
