3:26Now PlayingA 5-judge constitution bench led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud on Wednesday reserved its judgement in the raging turf war between the Delhi government and the Centre over who has jurisdiction over the services—the transfer and posting of bureaucrats—after a day-long marathon hearing that lasted four days. The Centre's Solicitor General Tushar Mehta asked the court to take into consideration sending the case to a larger bench due to the gravity of the current situation just before the judgement was reserved. A two-judge panel comprised of Justices A. K. Sikri and Ashok Bhushan issued a divided decision in this matter on February 14, 2019, necessitating a new round of adjudication.
