In the Sunaria prison, he has been serving a sentence for rape and murder. Ram Rahim has asked for a 40-day parole period before in order to attend a function. In the past, in October 2022, he was granted a 40-day release. Additionally, parole was granted to him before to the Adampur Assembly by-election and the Haryana panchayat election.
