On January 20, 2023, Meetu Singh confessed that he murdered a 22-year-old MBBS student from Mumbai, Swadichchha Singh, and threw her body in the sea. Both murder suspects, Meetu Singh and Jabbar Ansari, were sent to 4-day police custody. The search for Swadichchha's body in the sea by navy officers continues as police try to recover his body. Accused Meetu Singh told police that he placed a life jacket on the girl's body and carried her 100 metres into the sea.
