The election of a new leader - the city's first female mayor in a decade - had previously been called off on January 6 due to acrimonious scenes between the AAP and the BJP. Singh while addressing the media said that AAP was winning the Mayor election. The Aam Admi Party had 151 votes in favour of them and as BJP was losing the election, they created a ruckus in the assembly and got the election derailed again. He further said that no member o his party indulge themself in the brawl.
