Due to a transmission line fault, major areas of Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, and Karachi experienced a power outage. Imran Rana, the spokesperson for Pakistan's power utility K-Electric Ltd., confirmed in a tweet that multiple outages had been reported from various regions and that they were looking into the matter. "According to initial information, at about 7:34 AM (local time) today, the National Grid experienced a loss of frequency, that caused a major breakdown.
