A Gunman opened fire at a dance venue in California during Lunar New Year celebrations. 72-year-old Huu Can Tran managed to kill 10 people in the incident after which he died by suicide. Cops first surrounded his vehicle and then grabbed him. There were rounds of firing from both sides and within minutes the shooter shot himself, said the police. Visuals show injured people on stretchers being taken to ambulances by emergency staff. US President Joe Biden, Vice-President Kamala Harris and first lady expressed grief. US observed state mourning on January 22 and Biden ordered all US Flags at public buildings to be hoisted at half-staff to honour victims. Thousands had gathered in the two-day Lunar New Year festival in Southern Californian. 647 mass shootings were reported last year killing more than 44,000 people. Watch the video for more.
