The leopard reportedly appeared on the first floor of the Ghaziabad court randomly at 4 o'clock, according to onlookers. The courthouse was in a state of chaos and turmoil as attorneys barricaded themselves in rooms and individuals scurried about in search of protection. A cobbler who were fixing shoes on the court grounds and a police officer were both assaulted by the leopard when it became agitated upon seeing the disturbance. Ambulances rushed the injured persons to the hospital as soon as the police had information, which caused them to arrive. When the forest agency learned about the situation, a crew arrived at the court carrying tranquilizer weapons to rescue the leopard.
