2:13Now PlayingThe central government has appointed two new Supreme Court justices, bringing the court's strength up to full strength. The top court will have 34 judges, including the Chief Justice of India, once they take the oath. The Supreme Court last reached its full strength on September 2019. Last month, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended their names. Five new Supreme Court justices were appointed last week. Justice Rajesh Bindal, one of the two newly appointed judges, is currently the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court. He previously served as the Jammu and Kashmir High Court's acting Chief Justice. Another new judge is Justice Aravind Kumar, the Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court since 2021. In 2009, he was appointed as an additional Judge to the Karnataka High Court.
