1:29Now PlayingIn this episode of Daily Mirror, the host Shreya Dhoundial will be discussing how two F-35s from the United States Air Force (USAF) slammed into the India Air Force base at Yelahanka in Bengaluru on the first day of Aero India 2023. The USAF's newest fifth-generation fighter, the F-35A Lightning II, features stealth, supersonic, and multi-role capabilities. An F-35, created by American defence contractor Lockheed Martin, is currently in India for the first time. There were rumours regarding the fifth-generation jets participating in Aero India 2023 in the months leading up to the airshow. The US delegation revealed that there will be a surprise for the guests on the eve of the airshow. Soon after they arrived in Yelahanka, everyone's attention was on the two F-35s. On the tarmac, visitors and members of the Indian armed forces took pictures and selfies with the fifth-generation fighter. The aircraft did not participate in any demonstrations on February 13, although they are anticipated to do so starting on Day 2 of the airshow. The F-35s engine has a single stage high-pressure turbine, a 2-stage low-pressure turbine, an annular combustor, a 3-stage fan, and a 6-stage compressor. The thrust from the engine is 43,000 pounds.
