23:10Now PlayingIn this episode of Daily Mirror, the host Shreya Dhoundial will be discussing how on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi promoted India as a desirable location for investment in the defence manufacturing industry and declared that the country will work towards ranking among the top exporters of military hardware globally. In his speech following the opening of the 14th iteration of Aero India at the complex of the Yalahanka Air Force station outside of Bengaluru, Modi made the remarks. More than 700 defence businesses and representatives from 98 nations are attending the five-day exhibition. This issue of Aero India highlights India as a rapidly developing manufacturing centre for military aircraft, helicopters, equipment, and cutting-edge electronics. On Monday, the Congress party attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, referring to him as a "guy in fancy clothes" who was unjustly taking credit for Aero India. The opposition party claims that the festival actually started in 1996 and that Bengaluru hosts it because of its ties to the Nehruvian era. A few panelists join us. "PM Narendra Modi is permanently on election mode. He doesn't miss an opportunity to indirectly seek votes through imagery," says Madhavan Narayanan, Senior Journalist. Listen In!
