6:03Now PlayingThe IT department has come down heavily on the BBC with the 'surveys' continuing for the second straight day. The phones and devices of the employees have allegedly been searched due to 'tax evasion' by the company. We are joined by Editors Guild Of India's Shaid Siddiqui who weighs in on the matter and questions the timing of the surveys. He says that 'even if the surveys had come a month ago, we would have assumed it to be justified.' But 'this has come after the BBC documentary, the meaning is something else.' The surveys come a while after the BBC released a documentary on PM Modi. The documentary was banned from viewing in India and the authorities had asked social platforms to take down links to the documentary.
