8:47Now PlayingIndia's Silicon Valley, Bengaluru, has been named one of the world's busiest cities by location technology firm Tom Tom, which evaluates traffic congestion in cities across the world. With an increased travel time of roughly 29 minutes and 10 seconds to drive a distance of 10 kilometres in 2022, the capital city of Karnataka has secured the second position, behind only London, according to the TomTom traffic index released on Wednesday. Rush-hour speeds in the city centre were reported to be 18 kmph, in contrast to 14 kmph in 2021. With 129 hours total, Bengaluru ranks fourth among the cities in the research for the number of hours lost to rush-hour traffic.
