The SC also declined to stop the Shinde-action from seizing the Shiv Sena's assets and funds, stating that doing so would amount to overturning the EC ruling and that "we can't do that as they have triumphed there." According to the Maharashtra Chief Minister, the Supreme Court issued its decision based on the merits of the case. The CM claims that because people are content, there are so many individuals involved in the celebration. When a decision is not in their favour, the opposition's job is to contest it.
