11:55:00Now PlayingThe 7.8-magnitude quake on February 6 in Turkey has raised questions about the structural integrity of about 173,000 buildings that collapsed. Turkey Authorities arrested nearly 200 people for alleged poor building construction. They even added that 626 people were “suspects” after buildings fully collapsed or were seriously damaged in the wake of the earthquakes. Justice Minister said 184 of the 612 suspects had been jailed pending trial. Experts say that these buildings were made of inferior materials and methods that did not comply with govt standards.
