From Adani Bomb To Savarkar Row | Flurry Of Meetings As Cracks Appear In MVA | Beyond The Headlines

In this episode of Beyond The Headlines, the host Tamanna Inamdar will discuss how in a move to coalesce ahead of the country's fractured opposition, veteran Maharashtra politician Sharad Pawar met with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday evening. At Mr. Kharge's residence in Delhi, where the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader met the Congress officials, they were scheduled to discuss tactics for uniting the opposition. Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), met with Sharad Pawar, the head of the NCP, amid mounting tensions among the Maha Vikas Aghadi partners.The meeting takes place days before the Supreme Court rules on the Shiv Sena schism that occurred in June 2022 and the overthrow of the MVA government in Maharashtra. Several state and national issues, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's repeated attacks on Savarkar, the demand of the Joint Parliamentary Committee into the Adani Group-Hindenburg Report issue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's educational background, and Electronic Voting Machines, have come to the forefront over the past few weeks, as MVA is conducting its Vajramuth (thunderbolt) series of rallies across the state.
