2:34Now PlayingAs per the latest news, the Calcutta High Court ordered a probe by NIA in West Bengal Ram Navami clashes. West Bengal witnessed communal violence in Howrah and Hooghly during Ram Navami processions last month. Several vehicles were set ablaze and shops were ransacked and vandalized during the clashes. The division bench, presided by Acting Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam, passed the order on a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari in this regard
The bench guided the transfer of the investigation to the NIA from the West Bengal Police. In his PIL, Adhikari had looked for an NIA test into the violence, during which it was claimed that bombs detonated. Watch the complete video now to know more.
