The top court bar association has now slammed the bar council of India, condemning the bar council's resolution opposing same-sex marriages. The Supreme Court Bar Association said, "It was highly inappropriate of the council to pass comments on sub judice matters." The bar association said it should be up to the court to hear the petition or defer to the parliament. It further clarified that it is neutral in the case and this does not amount to its support or opposition to the matter. Watch the video
