1:13Now PlayingPrime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled for a tour of the United States from the 21st - 24th of June. As part of his visit, he will be addressing a joint meeting of the United States Parliament on 22nd June. Prime Minister's aim for the visit will be an inaugural meeting between India and the US for advancing their strategic technology and trade collaborations which falls under the India-US initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET). It was co-chaired by National Security Advisors Ajit Doval and Jake Sullivan earlier.
During the meeting, Doval and Sullivan reached a mutual agreement on collaboration in six major areas of interest which include the enhancement of innovation ecosystems, cooperation in defense innovation and technology, the establishment of resilient semiconductor supply chains, facilitating the mobility of space, science, technology, engineering, and math talent, and the development of next-generation telecommunications.
