Despite the fact that the Met Office has not projected a heatwave for at least a week, such conditions may develop in isolated areas. On Friday, the minimum temperature at Delhi's major weather station, Safdarjung Observatory, was 27.3 degrees Celsius, which is usual for this time of year. The high temperature is expected to be approximately 41 degrees Celsius. Strong surface winds are expected during the day, with only light rain expected at night.
