3:07Now PlayingDelhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport will open its first dual elevated eastern cross taxiways (ECT) and fourth runway on July 13. ECT will shorten the distance an aeroplane must travel after landing on the third runway and proceeding to T1 from 9km to 2km. Even flight delays will be reduced from 20-25 minutes to roughly 10 minutes. The airport operator, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), announced that civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia would dedicate ECT and the fourth runway on July 13.
