The NTCA said that deaths are due to natural causes and not unsuitability, the mortalities are not unduly alarming. The NTCA has also said that steps are being taken to curb the deaths. There has been a lot of criticism after the death of 8 cheetahs out of 20, including 5 cheetahs and 3 cubs translocated from South Africa and Namibia.
