All the people present inside have been evacuated and no casualties have been reported. At least eight fire tenders were engaged in the firefighting operation and the blaze was controlled within 30 minutes as there was an underground water tank there. The fire broke out at 11:54 AM in the endoscopy room situated on the second floor of the old OPD at AIIMS, directly above the emergency ward.
