3:19Now PlayingTop News | On Saturday, nine troops were killed after their truck went off the road and into a steep valley in Ladakh's Leh region. According to reports, one more official was hurt. Eight troops and one Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) were killed. The vehicle was on its way from Karu garrison to Kyari near Leh when it crashed into the gorge 7 km before Kyari town. It was part of a troop of 34 people that also included an SUV and an ambulance. The three cars were part of a reconnaissance team. The accident occurred on Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. in Kerey, Nyoma, southern Ladakh. A rescue mission is underway, according to officials. Keep an eye on Mirror Now for the latest developments.
