Vishnu Saravanan won India’s first-ever bronze medal in the men’s dinghy ILCA-7 event, at the Asian Games on 27th September. Saravanan missed the silver medal by just one point after finishing with a net score of 34 points in the grueling 11-race competition. South Korea’s Jeemin HA won the silver spot with 33 points and Singapore’s Jun Han Ryan Lo claimed the gold with a net score of 26. He said, “Jee-Min is a legend. My goal was to beat him but missed silver by one point. He is a good mentor too & his appreciation mattered a lot to me. My father is the biggest inspiration, he molded my career. He is my backbone."
