as posted by the channelTop News | The Delhi Police detained NewsClick founder Prabir Purkayastha and human resources director Amit Chakravarty on Tuesday in connection with an anti-terror case filed against the news portal in August after the Enforcement Directorate shared information regarding the portal's alleged receipt of funds from entities connected to China in order to spread Chinese propaganda. The arrests followed daylong searches by Delhi Police Special Cell personnel in 30 sites in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. 46 suspects, including NewsClick contributors, were questioned by the authorities. Nine women were questioned at their homes while 37 males were questioned in the Delhi Police Special Cell office, including journalists Urmilesh, Aunindyo Chakravarty, Abhisar Sharma, Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, and D Raghunandan of the Centre for Technology and Development.
