2:15Now PlayingA federal US court has extended the deadline for Pakistani-origin Canadian businessman Tahawwur Rana to submit a motion regarding his extradition to India in connection with the 2008 Mumbai terror attack. Rana, aged 62, was given until November 9 to file this motion. In August, he appealed the decision of a US District Court in the Central District of California that denied his writ of habeas corpus. Previously, on August 18, the court had granted Rana's request for a stay of extradition, allowing his appeal to be heard by the US Court of Appeals. Rana is presently held at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Los Angeles and faces multiple charges for his involvement in the Mumbai attacks.
