The rise in cases prompted the Karnataka Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to issue an advisory urging individuals above 60, especially those with underlying health conditions, pregnant women, and lactating mothers, to wear face masks and avoid enclosed and crowded spaces.
