YouTube Description
as posted by the channelTop News | The President has denied the assent to three bills approved by the State Legislative Assembly, one of which aimed to remove the governor from his role as chancellor of Kerala's institutions. This is a blow to the ruling CPI(M) in the state of Kerala. However, the Kerala Lokayukta Amendment Bill, 2022, which limited the anti-corruption watchdog's authority, was approved by the president. This is good news for the government since it now has the authority to accept or reject the ombudsman's report. "Hon'ble President of India has withheld assent to the following Bills which Hon'ble Governor Shri Arif Mohammed Khan had referred to Rashtrapati Bhavan for consideration," the Raj Bhavan stated in an official message.
