as posted by the channelTop News | Late on Wednesday, the bodies of two girls, ages 16 and 14, were discovered dangling from a tree in a hamlet in the Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh's Kotwali region. After forcing them to consume alcohol, the 18-year-old son and 19-year-old nephew of a local contractor are accused of sexually abusing them. The contractor was among the suspects who were taken into custody after the remains were transported for a post-mortem examination. They may be charged under the POCSO Act as well as with gang rape and aiding and abetting suicide. The girls went to the fields late last night to relieve themselves, according to their relatives. When they failed to return, family members went looking and discovered their bodies dangling from a nearby plum tree.
