2:39Now PlayingTop News | Shehbaz Sharif easily secured a majority in the recently elected Parliament, taking over as prime minister of Pakistan for the second time and heading a coalition administration. In the 336-member house, Shehbaz, 72, who was the joint candidate of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), garnered 201 votes. 92 votes were cast in favour of Shehbaz's opponent, Omar Ayub Khan of the imprisoned former prime minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The new parliament met in a fracas and with politicians supported by the PTI shouting slogans.
