According to the police, the two people from Vijaynagar, Ghaziabad, perished in the collision while approaching the escalator. According to a senior police official, they were contacted by Yatharth Hospital regarding the deaths of two individuals who were struck by an iron grille that fell from the fifth level. The officer said, "The police units raced to the scene and got to work on the case."
