16:57Now PlayingIn this edition of Urban Debate, PM-EAC member, Shamika Ravi has joined anchor Shreya Dhoundial to discuss a study by the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) that revealed a significant shift in population dynamics from 1950 to 2015. The Hindu population share experienced a decline of nearly 8%, dropping from 84% to 78%. In contrast, the Muslim population share witnessed a remarkable growth of 43% during the same period. Additionally, the shares of other minority communities, such as Christians, Buddhists, and Sikhs, increased, while the numbers of Jains and Parsis declined in the population mix.
